We often think that acne with oily skin, so it catches us by surprise when our dry skin starts breaking out because treating acne in dry skin can be challenging. Many of the acne skin care products you find over the counter are generally made for oily-skinned folks, and can be way too drying and irritating for your skin type (although there are now more skin care products specifically for treating acne in dry skin types.)
So what is the best way to acne treatment for dry skin? Well, there is ways you can do to acne treatment for dry skin:
First, you must clean your face with oil because dry skin can be sensitive to soaps and cleansers, especially those formulated for acne-prone or oily skin types. Luckily, the skin can be effectively cleansed with a combination of Castor oil and olive oil. It may seem illogical to use oil to avoid acne; however, non-comedogenic oils can bond with clogging oils on the face, dirt and impurities to clean out the pores and prevent acne.
How to use oil for cleansing our face?
To use oil for cleansing, you must combine 1/4 tsp. of Castor oil with 1/2 tsp. of olive oil. After that, massage it into the skin for 2 to 3 minutes. Soak a washcloth in warm to hot water, and wring it out. Place it across the face and let the steam of the cloth open up the pores. Once the cloth cools, wipes the rest of the oils off of the skin.
Second, chose Tea Tree Oil Instead of Benzoyl Peroxide. Why we must choose it? Because Benzoyl peroxide is the traditional medicated cream used on acne, but it can be too harsh for using on dry skin types.
Fortunately, tea tree oil is just as effective as benzoyl peroxide cream, but will not irritate, dry out or inflame dry or sensitive skin. Tea tree oil can be found in cream form, undiluted oil, or as a salve, located at most health food stores or online.
So that, when you are using the undiluted oil, it can be helpful to dilute it first. Simply soak cotton pad in water, and add three or four drops of tea tree oil onto the pad. Apply the diluted oil to the affected areas of the face.
Third, always use a daily moisturizer. Because dry skin types also have acne need to have their skin moisturized daily. When the skin is properly hydrated, the oils in the skin can balance out, which can in turn reduce the frequency of acne breakouts.
So, if you are used to using a heavy moisturizer that contains oils, this could also be contributing to acne breakouts. Instead, select a moisturizer that is oil-free and non-comedogenic. After cleansing the face, and treating the acne with tea tree oil, apply a dime-sized amount of oil-free moisturizer to the skin. Gently massage it onto the face until it is completely absorbed.
By do that, I think your face will beauty and smooth. Do you like it?
